What is Crane’s Unified Booking System?

Crane's unified booking system brings all our experiences into one clear and flexible booking structure through 3 types of booking: Waitlist sessions, scheduled sessions and group booking enquiries.

Instead of every event working differently, we now run sessions under 3 simple booking types so you'll always know whether you're joining a confirmed session, expressing interest or simply planning something private for your own group.

What are the 3 types of bookings?

1. Scheduled Sessions
These are confirmed sessions with a fixed date and time. Once you book and pay, your seat is secured.

2. Waitlist Sessions
Waitlist sessions allow you to express interest in an upcoming experience before it is officially confirmed.

You won't be charged when joining the waitlist.

The session will only run once the minimum number of committed guests have confirmed and completed the payment. Once that happens, the session is activated and you'll be notified with the next steps to secure your seat.

3. Group bookings
Group Bookings are enquiry-based private sessions designed for your own group. Whether it’s a corporate team, birthday celebration, or special gathering.

To get started, you’ll:

  • Select your preferred date and time
  • Indicate your estimated number of guests
  • Submit your enquiry

From there, our team will reach out to confirm availability and discuss any customisation. From activity format to F&B arrangements and before finalising your booking.

You choose the date. We tailor the experience around your group.

How does waitlist / scheduled / group booking work?

Scheduled Sessions

  1. On our activity page, select 'Show Dates.'
  2. Select your preferred date
  3. Complete payment
  4. Receive confirmation
  5. Show up and enjoy

Your seat is confirmed immediately upon payment.

Waitlist Sessions

  1. On the activity page, select "Show Dates."
  2. Select the date(s) you're interest in.
  3. Log in or register for a Crane account
  4. Select your dates once again and click 'submit' your waitlist request

You won't be charged at this stage.

Once the minimum number of guests is met:

  • We'll notify you via email
  • You'll receive details to secure your seat
  • The session becomes a confirmed scheduled session if the minimum number of committed guests have made payment.

Notes:

  • If the minimum is not met, the session will not proceed.
  • If the minimum is met, we make it happen.

Group bookings

  1. Select your preferred number of guests
  2. Choose your desired date
  3. Click "Enquire Now."
  4. You'll be redirected to WhatsApp to confirm availability, customisation, and payment details.

Notes: A minimum of 8–10 guests is required to submit a group enquiry.

Can a waitlist become scheduled?

Yes. Once the minimum number of committed guests has made payment, a waitlist session is officially converted into a Scheduled Session.

All participants will be notified and guided through the confirmation process. From that point onward, the session runs like any other confirmed event.

Why does a waitlist exist?

We design experiences based on real interest, not guesswork.

The waitlist allows us to:

  • Test demand before locking in resources
  • Ensure a good group size for quality interaction
  • Avoid cancelling sessions and refunds due to low turnout
  • Let the community shape what actually runs

In short, if enough people want it, we’ll make it happen.

Reservations & Payments

What’s the minimum group size?

Most of our experiences require a minimum of 8–10 guests, depending on the type of activity.

To check the exact minimum for your chosen session, head to the activity page and view the minimum pax.

Can I adjust the number of pax later on?

If you’d like to increase your group size, please let us know at least 2 days before the event takes place.

Can I customise the experience?

Yes, to an extent. Customisation varies depending on the activity, so here's what to expect:

Food & Dietary Requirements
We work from a set menu and are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions where possible, this may include removing or adjusting certain components to suit your needs. However, we do not create fully separate custom menus from scratch. If you have specific dietary requirements, let us know when you enquire and we'll do our best to work around our existing menu.

Everything Else
Any other customisation requests such as activity format or special arrangements can be discussed once you submit your enquiry. We'll let you know what's possible from there.

How far in advance should I enquire?

We recommend submitting your group enquiry 2–3 weeks in advance.

For larger groups or corporate bookings, the earlier the better — this gives us time to plan, customise, and ensure a seamless experience.

Do you provide refunds?

Refunds are not provided. Exceptions may be considered under specific circumstances at our discretion.

Are there any GST or other tax charges?

No, the prices stated are inclusive of GST. 

Food & Beverage

Is your food halal?

We are not halal-certified. However, our chef is Muslim, and we strive to offer a halal-friendly menu by using halal-certified ingredients wherever possible.

How do we order from the menu?

We typically offer a curated set menu for our sessions. To ensure the best fit for your group, we recommend reaching out to us so we can advise on the most suitable options based on your preferences and group size.

What is included in the free BYOB?

Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages, including both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.

Crane Venue & Rentals

Do you offer coworking spaces?

Partially. Some of our venues are open for daytime use, while others are dedicated primarily to events.

Can I access all Spaces as a subscriber?

Yes! As a subscriber, you have access to our venues.

However, some spaces may be temporarily unavailable due to activities scheduled. To stay updated:

  • Check our Instagram for space availability announcements.
  • Log in to your Crane account and watch the Announcements section on your dashboard.

Subscriber perks are primarily available at our walk-in locations, so plan ahead for any booked activities

How far in advance should I enquire?

We recommend submitting your group enquiry 2–3 weeks in advance.

For larger groups or corporate bookings, the earlier the better — this gives us time to plan, customise, and ensure a seamless experience.

Can I rent a space just for myself or my team?

Yes, absolutely. Events don’t have to be public. We regularly host private gatherings such as birthdays, team dinners, offsites, and more.

Do I need to be a Crane member to book a space?

Not always. You can book a space without a subscription, but subscribers enjoy preferential rates and early access.

Can I bring external catering?

Yes, external catering is permitted. Please note that an additional fee of $300 will apply.

Do you provide in-house catering options?

Yes, we offer in-house catering, including a 3-course grazing table at $88 per person. Please note that the venue rental fee will be waived when this F&B option is selected.

Will there be any on-site staff available?

Please note that this is a self-managed event. Guests are required to assist with opening and closing the venue, as well as post-event clean-up. If the space is rearranged during your event, it should be returned to its original setup upon completion.

Should you require on-site manpower, this can be arranged at an additional fee of $100 per staff member.

What AV equipment is provided?

We provide basic AV equipment, including a projector, microphones, and speakers

Are there any taxes applicable to venue rental?

Yes, GST is applicable to venue rental charges.

Can I bring my pet?

If your pet is well-mannered and manageable, generally yes, but owners are fully responsible for supervision, cleanliness, and any damage.

About Murder Mysteries

What time does the session start?

Sessions typically run from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on the pace of the game.

If you would like to adjust the timing of your session, please contact us to check availability.

Can I stay longer after the session ends?

Please note that our kitchen closes at 10:00 PM and the venue by 10:30 PM. We kindly ask that all activities conclude by these times.

Can I bring cake/decorations?

Yes, you can! For the cake, do let us know beforehand if you’re bringing or delivering the cake. As for the decorations, just one small note, we kindly ask that all balloons and decorations are taken along when you leave the premises.

Do you provide any decorations?

We provide a simple table setup to ensure each table looks presentable. Please note that we are unable to assist with balloon or additional decoration setup, as our team will be fully occupied in the kitchen during service. However, you are welcome to arrive earlier if you wish to set up decorations yourself.

Can children participate?

Yes, children aged 12 and above are welcome to join the session.

Is the event scary?

No, our Murder Mystery Dinners are designed to be fun and engaging, not scary.

Can we host Murder Mystery Dinners at our own venues?

We apologise, but Murder Mystery Dinners are only available at our designated venues.
